Yay for Lefties!

While writing my last post, I was a little irked.
(Did it show?)

But, I got to thinking about the left I see in the news, and the lefties I know in real life.
They are very often quite different.

And furthermore, the lefties (they ain't as left as they think, most of them) that come here, are quite different than the ones I read on DU and KOS.
Oh sure, I've gotten an email telling me I'm going to hell, and the occasional Nazi comment here and there, but overall, those who disagree with me here are great.
I would be honored to drink a beer with almost any of them.

So, because I am way so cool, I would like to take an opportunity to thank everyone who drops by here, but especially the lefters. They come here knowing that the majority of those on this site are probably in opposition to their beliefs, but come anyway.

And even moreso, I would like to say that I am so pleased that these folk are civil, articulate, respectful in all ways (usually! Pool!), friendly and even don't use (or rarely use) profanity on this site. That is so cool.

So today, or tomorrow, hug a lefty! They give us purpose, entertainment, and most of them are ok, as long as they don't vote.

In conclusion, thank you all so much, and please return... Remember, civility is one of the things that separates us from the animals.
