Don't Worry

It will still take further reductions your liberties, along with tons more of your of tax dollars to fix it.

Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.
We're still all gonna die!!! And it's still the fault of my pickup and SUV!!!

Uh Oh

It's happening quicker than I thought it would:

North American Army created without OK by Congress
In a ceremony that received virtually no attention in the American media, the United States and Canada signed a military agreement Feb. 14 allowing the armed forces from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a domestic civil emergency, even one that does not involve a cross-border crisis.

Sovereignty shmovereignty.
All we need now is the south for the North American (Union) Army (or would it be Confederate?!?!?!?).
Once we add the Mexican army...wait, they already tread on our soil.
I really like the vague "domestic civil emergency" line, too.

Here's the Northcom piece:

U.S. Northern Command, Canada Command establish new bilateral Civil Assistance Plan
“This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation's requests for military support of civil authorities,” Renuart said. “Unity of effort during bilateral support for civil support operations such as floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and effects of a terrorist attack, in order to save lives, prevent human suffering and mitigate damage to property, is of the highest importance, and we need to be able to have forces that are flexible and adaptive to support rapid decision-making in a collaborative environment.”

And the coolest part? Congress wasn't even involved! No need for constitutional trivialities when there are brown people ready to do us in at every turn! If you're for liberty, than you're for the terrorists!!! Between this, the detention facilities, and the general militarization of our police force, it's looking uglier all the time.

And what a great way to prepare people for other foreign troops on their soil later. It's perfect; start out with English speaking Caucasians, and then ultimately graduate to blue helmeted, socialist child rapists after that!!

Another reason foreign troops are useful is they are far more likely to fire upon people that are not of their own country. I wonder if the Canadians torture people to get information...?
I know it's ok for us to torture people, but does that logically extend to Canuks torturing us for our own good?

Additionally, the Posse Comitatus Act doesn't say anything about troops from other governments, so this is an awesome tactic to circumvent that as well (but I guess Waco showed us that it didn't really matter that much anyway).

Curiously, I have seen nothing about this in the mainstream US press.
This is a big deal.
It has made a minor splash in the Canadian press, an interesting article, BTW; here's an excerpt:

Canada Command spokesman Commander David Scanlon said it will be up to civilian authorities in both countries whether military assistance is requested or even used. He said the agreement is "benign" and simply sets the stage for military-to-military co-operation if the governments approve.

Ah, it's benign. Stage setting and all. And hey, the government has to approve it!! I mean, we can trust the Lizard Queen, B. Hussein, and McInsane, right?
Forget I said anything.

Keep your powder dry, kids.
You may need it sooner than you think.

Should I max out my credit cards now?

Holy Schniekie!

Friend Joe H. shot this totally kick-butt target last league night. That is a total of 10 shots, 9 of them in that ragged hole where the 10 ring/X-ring used to be.
It was the rapid fire target, which consists of two strings of 5 shots in 10 seconds.

Color me suitably impressed. And more than just a tad jealous... ;)

Why

Why is it that when the news reports a union's leadership (whichever one it happens to be) endorses a candidate, they (the news-makers reporters and union leaders, both) always make it sound like every single member of said union is going to vote for their pick?

I must have missed the memo that we were all mindless robots that automatically vote for commies.

Truer Words...

I saw this quote in a post over at Vox's place in the comment section in a response to a whiner:

"Life's tough. Life's tougher when you're a whiny bitch. Get over it."

Good one Michael! Entertaining and profound at the same time.
That might make a good bumper sticker, eh?

Please, God, Make It Stop

Since Ohio is a battleground state, B. Hussein and the Lizard Queen are bombarding our airwaves with excruciatingly painful tripe and rhetoric.
Lots of feel-good crap, no real plans.

And I thought I hated the "Viva Viagra" commercials.

Politics has driven me to yearn for the "Head On" commercials.

Truly a sad state of affairs.

Proof Positive

For those of us that ever thought Bush was honest, the Emperor now officially has no clothes...

Bush: McCain a 'true conservative'

Wha fu?

And he even said it with a straight face. George Soros had no comment.

Oh well, it was a nice republic while it lasted.
Catch you comrades later...

Incredulous

Incredulous - The look on my face when a technical trainer tells me a fixed I.P. address is called a "stagnant" IP address.

Good Lord.

(It's a "static" IP address for you non-PCish types).

Ah, the wonders of our government controlled educational system...

Update: Maybe this explains it -

Foggy Went a-Courtin'

Dear Dumba**es,

If you don't have any lights on when it's super foggy out, and you have dirty car (and especially grey cars), it makes you FREAKING INVISIBLE!!!

Get a clue before you kill someone.
I don't particularly care if YOU die, but I don't want you to take out other people, or your apparently cursed passengers.

A Super Tuesday Consideration

If today is the day for your state's primary or caucus, please consider voting for the only real conservative running (on either side).

Ron Paul.

If you come to this sight, you know I'm not a hate America socialist, regardless of what the press and blogs tell you about Ron Paul supporters.

Look at his voting record and his stand on the issues. I would love to hear what issues you disagree on.

We are past the point of being able to safely vote for the most pleasant communist set before us.

Thank you for your consideration.
And God bless America. Please...

Birthdays and Wheelguns.

This weekend my lovely wife and I celebrate our only living child's 21st birthday.

Please wish her a happy birthday, and pray for her to have more wisdom than her father in her life.

She's a heck of a lot more mature than I was then; let's hope that trend continues.
Also, she is now legally allowed to own and posses (and carry, if she so desires) her 12th birthday present (a Ruger GP-100 in .357 Magnum), which I must say still looks fine. It should, as it probably has less than one box of shells through it.

My lovely and bright daughter is, of course, more than welcome to keep in my safe for many more years.
Heh.

Happy birthday, Slam.
Love you, and may God bless.

Wow.

But I'm with her, too.

Update: Almost. I'll be writing in Ron Paul instead of voting for the Lizard Queen.
