Mailing It Today.

So I got a letter from Karl Rove yesterday (I thought he quit).

It was from him and the RNC, wanting cash. Apparently, all my cash they're spending in Washington just isn't enough.

Below is what I mailed them in their own postage-paid envelope; their own letter modified, with a Ron Paul card stapled to it.

So what's being on one more subversive list going to do to me anyway?'
I mean, I already buy gun-stuff through the mail and internet, NICS checks, and the like. Not to mention this site.

And I offer many apologies to the hard-core R's for my blatant misuse of RNC funds regarding the return envelope...

I Like This Quote

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.

Everybody Panic.....NOW!!!

I'm getting a cold.
That sucks.

But what really scares me is it might be THE SUPER-DANGEROUS DEADLY KILLER COLD BUG FROM HECK!! Run!!!

This was a top news story this week on the national AND my local news.

Are people so devoid of logic and critical thought that they worry about a headline like this? That's 6.6 deaths a year in a country of over 300 million (and only half of those are here legally!).

Should not this be the next top headline:

Lightning—The Underrated Killer

In the United States, there are an estimated 25 million lightning flashes each year. During the past 30 years, lightning killed an average of 62 people per year. This ties the average of 62 deaths per year caused by tornadoes.
I mean, combined, tornadoes and lighting (which oft travel in pairs!) cause 20 TIMES MORE DEATHS THAN THE CAPTAIN TRIPS KILLER MUTATED COLD VIRUS!!!

Apparently, PSH is not just relegated to things involving firearms.

I think I'm going to go curl up in the fetal position in my basement and try not to get hurt by the world...

Things I am thankful for:

A Savior

My Family

My country and its defenders

A chance to spin around on this big blue ball of a planet for a while...

And thank you, readers.
Without you, I would be ranting to my dogs in the basement right now... ;)

God bless you all, and may your holiday be enjoyable, and its original intent not forgotten.

I just saw Bush on television pardoning a turkey, but he never said a word about wrongfully-imprisoned border guards Ramos and Compean.

I guess turkeys , child-murdering rapists, eliminating national sovereignty and illegal alien drug dealers are higher on the presidential hierarchy than front-line border guards charged with protecting the country.

How terribly sad.
I say we blow away the turkey and let the two gentlemen out of prison.
How about it, George?

Say a prayer for those guys and their families this holiday.

Today Is National Ammo Day!

Go buy at least 100 rounds of ammo today.
It shows patriotism, foresight, and politically correct (but not PC!!) speech.

I'm right in there with you...

Saturday, November 17, 2007

A Couple of Things.

November 19th (this Monday) is National Ammo Day.

So do your part and show the world that firearms owners are a financial block that is the real deal.

Plus, us with more ammo is a good thing.

From the Ammo Day site:
What is National Ammo Day?

November 19 is National Ammo Day.

It is a nationwide BUYcott of ammunition. You buy ammunition. 100 Rounds a person.
(CUG note: AT LEAST!)

The goals of Ammo Day:
The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens. Make your support of the Second Amendment known--by voting with your dollars!
Another worthy goal, which I will be helping to attain, and I truly hope you do, too:

Tea Party '07
On December 16th, 1773, American colonists dumped tea into the Boston Harbor to protest an
oppressive tax. This December 16th, American citizens will dump millions of dollars into the
Ron Paul presidential campaign to protest the oppressive and unconstitutional inflation tax -
which has enabled a flawed foreign policy, a costly war and the sacrificing
of our liberties here at home.

Please join us this December 16th 2007 for the largest one-day political donation event in
history. Our goal is to bring together 100,000 people to donate $100 each,
creating a one day donation total of $10,000,000.

Feeling rebellious, revolutionary and/or particularly patriotic?
Send the man some cash!

It's an anti-status quo statement if there ever was one...

Don't know who Ron Paul is, or only heard 3 Monkey talk about him?
Go check out what he stand for here: Ron Paul 2008
Look at the pull-down menu that says "Issues".

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the gun show. (But I'll still buy some ammo on Monday!)

Grady the Badger

Friend Bill R turned me on to these badger commercials.
If these don't make you laugh, you need to drink more or something.

It's always good to have a little wiggle room:

Wiggle room take-two. Call the cops!!

And here's one for the ladies. (With my apologies.)

They have a ton of these on Youtube, if you're interested.
Maybe GM should hire the ad people to do some commercials for them!

Does That Mean Boyscouts Are Psychos?

I was watching some stupid CSI type show, and the were on the scene where the cops shot some psycho guy with an EBR (that's an Evil Black Rifle for you GFW's (see definition 1).

To paraphrase, the actard said, "This guy is a piece of work. He's got guns, ammo, MRE's, water. What a nut case."

And here I'm thinking and mentally inventorying -

EBR - check (at least)
ammo - check
extra food - check
cases of water - check
camping gear, blankets, lanterns, cook stove, knives, etc - check
weather radio - check
flashlights - check
compass - check
grab and go box - check
beer - check

So I'm thinking, what's wrong with that?
Is being prepared a sign of being unstable and a threat to the government (at least in Hollywieird's eyes)?

I'll bet the folks that lived through Katrina have a couple of supplies laid in now.

Here's a totally sweet emergency kit, just for kicks: The Smith and Wesson Emergency Survival Kit, complete with the S + W 500! Woo-hoo!!
(Click pic for a better view of the sweetness!)

Heh. It's almost Christmas, ya know...

Why Is It

that I can stay mad at politicians for a long time (and others, for that matter), but I just can't stay mad at these (relatively) little hellions?

(Click to hugificate)

And in a continuing trend, the shep (her highness Haleigh) is still maintaining her monthly weight to age ratio:
She is now 8 months old and 80 lbs. Yikes!

Jake is just chillin'.

Now I remember why I don't stay mad... It's probably that whole unconditional love/super cuteness factor.

Those sneaky bas***ds!!

Advice from the CUG: Get a pup. You'll feel better...

The Axman Cometh

I've got to be in the mood to listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn.

His music, for me was kind of an acquired taste.
But regardless, that man sure can play a guitar.

That is one big honkin' cat.

Maybe he's a Moore...

The Unelectable Canidate...

Look out, Rudy.

When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads.
Ron Paul

When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.
Ron Paul

Ron Paul's Record Online Haul

Today, Nov. 5, marks not only Paul's best fundraising haul in a single day -- more than $3.5 million by 9 p.m. EST -- but online observers say it's also the most money raised by a candidate on the Web in a single day. And the day's not over yet. "Damn. Wow. Um, that's pretty awesome," said a stunned Jerome Armstrong who served as Howard Dean's online strategist. Armstrong, the founder of the popular blog MyDD, said Dean raised as much as $700,000 in one day toward the end of the primary race. "But not a million," Armstrong added. "What Paul is doing -- or what his supporters are doing -- is really impressive."

Gathering steam...

Ron Paul's $4.2 Million Record-Setting Day

Trying to catch up in a race that is leaving many in the dust, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul made some forward progress Monday by putting $4.2 million in his fundraising bank -- a one-day record for a GOP candidate.

Paul's contributions registered for a 24-hour period ousted Mitt Romney as the GOP record holder for single-day donations.

Why not help a real conservative out? He may well be the only guy that can beat Hillary.
Gudy will never pull it off.

I've donated again, and my bumper stickers are on the way.
And don't forget to vote today.

I wonder if there are any libertarians running where I live....

Let Us Not Forget...

There has been much discussion here re: the Ron Paul thing, but let's not forget what this blog is about; fun and guns.

So, what do you get the little lady that has everything?
Well, you dress up her almost-pristine, pre-ban 1970's AR-15 with a little bling!
(Click to embiggen).

This is before:

And then after, with the new bayonet and the six-position collapsible stock!
In the extended position:

And the collapsed position:

Mmmmmm.... evil, black plastic goodness. The missus has a good weapon, there.
Of course, her hubby has to have one to match it!

Gun pron; it's what's for dinner!!

God bless him and his family and friends.

And no offense, Wyatt, but remind me to steer clear of Philly for a while.
And watch your ass, dangit!

Sorry About His Luck

I went to the doctor yesterday because when I got my (second) dental implant a couple of months ago, my blood pressure was high. This is new.

So the doc checks me out, writes me a couple of scrips for the BP meds and my chronic insomnia and then tells me that I need to cut down on salty foods like snack crackers, chips and bacon.

Cut out bacon.

I'm going to miss him.
Visitation will be from 6-8 Friday, and services will be Saturday afternoon.

He was so young...

One of the major complaints I hear about Ron Paul is about the type of people that support him.

A couple of points -

1. I don't think anyone who reads this site, who knows me personally, can honestly claim I am a liberal moonbat, Marxist, Nazi, truther, peacenik or wingnut (although I am guilty on the gunnut charge).
The same can be said for the people I know personally that are supporters.

2. Here you have a guy that can convince hippies, commies, leftists, and libtards to vote for a pro-gun, pro-life, small government, anti-UN, less-tax Republican; and that's a bad thing?
